Hops for Hope at City Works
Raising Money for Breast Cancer Awareness for The Lynn Sage Foundation
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s chilling to know that 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will hear the words, “You have breast cancer.” The Lynn Sage Foundation seeks better breast cancer outcomes by funding innovative research. Since 2007, they have provided over $1.8 million to support the best and brightest researchers working to improve the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.
To support their effort, for the month of October, City Works is using their very own Goose Island-brewed beer, Bottlenectar, to help raise funds. For every Bottlenectar sold, City Works will donate $1 to the foundation, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Goose Island.
Last year alone, these organizations donated over $13,000 for the Lynn Sage Scholars Program and they look forward to contributing more to this important cause.
So visit a Bottleneck restaurant in October, enjoy a Bottlenectar, and know that you’re contributing $2 to breast cancer research. We’ll cheers to that!
