Bring the kids and meet us on the River Green for a variety of outdoor family and kid-friendly activities this Spring and Summer.
Join us this April break, for an outdoor Karate class with Craig's Kempo Karate Academy. The kids can enjoy an hour of Karate in the sunshine! This class will be fun and exciting while introducing your child to Kempo Karate.
Class: Craig's Kempo Karate - Lil' Dragons, best suited for ages 5-8
(all levels welcome!)

A small donation to the Watertown Food Pantry is requested to secure your spot in class. The River Green is located in front of Shake Shack. Please bring your own mat and water. Masks are required and attendees will select a socially distant location upon check-in.
Registration required, limited space available. Registration opens one week before the class. Classes are weather dependent and we reserve the right to cancel classes in the case of inclement weather. All refunds will be processed for canceled classes.
About Craig's Kempo Karate Academy:
Since 2003, our mission at Craig's Kempo Karate Academy of Watertown is to provide the tools and information our students need to succeed, even beyond karate. Our teaching philosophy is that every student is important, each of us learns differently, and that we all need something unique to become our best. Our karate instructors strive to engage each student of the martial arts with something fun and educational. About the Instructor:
Founder and chief Instructor at Craig’s Kempo Karate Academy, Shihan Craig has been studying Kempo Karate and the Martial Arts for over 35 years. He is currently a 6th Degree Black Belt and trains with Grand Master Don Rodrigues to continue his growth as a Martial Artist. A former U.S. Army Airborne Ranger, a Northeastern University alumnus, a former Paramedic and corporate trainer for American Medical Response Ambulance Company, he was inducted into the World Martial Arts Federation’s Hall of Fame as Kempo Instructor of the Year 2008. When he is not training his students or himself, he enjoys reading, Patriots football, and riding motorcycles.
About the Series:
In partnership with local Watertown and Greater Boston businesses, join us this Spring and Summer for a variety of outdoor activities for families and kids. All classes support a local community organization which will change each month. Events will be held outside in the River Green, located near Shake Shack. Parking is available in the free red or purple parking garage, along with the surface parking area near City Works. Events will vary, visit our Events Calendar, for the latest events and activities.

The safety of our guests, instructors and staff remain our top priority. We are closely monitoring all COVID-19 rules and regulations to ensure a safe experience for all. Please note, masks are required at the event. Individuals will be separated by at least 6ft and will be assigned a socially distant location upon check-in. There is limited capacity for this event which will be strictly enforced. Reservations are required, no walk-ins allowed.

Parking & directions
Arsenal Yards is approximately a 10-minute drive from Harvard Square and approximately a 15-minute drive from Copley Square. Other areas will find it easily accessible from the Mass Pike or Fresh Pond Parkway, among many routes available to Watertown’s East End. Once on site, ample free parking is available. Traveling via public transportation? MBTA bus route 70 stops right on site and can be picked up at the Central Square Red Line T stop.
