Outdoor Fitness: Artemis Yoga

On Wednesdays join our friends from Artemis Yoga, Watertown, on the River Green for an outdoor fitness class (with a DJ too!).

Meet Amanda Wood on Wednesday 9/23, who will lead a Flow Yoga class geared for all levels, all are welcome! This class will guide you through the principles of alignment-based instruction that incorporates flow-based movement with breath to get your body going. You will find this class is a wonderful way to end your day while building flexibility and strength of body with calmness of mind.

The River Green is located in front of Shake Shack. Please bring your own mat.

About the Instructor:
Amanda first found yoga as a way to ease sore muscles from years of playing team sports. Her practice blossomed while she was in college, as the movement and mindfulness helped her adjust to a new location and lifestyle. It was during those college years when she became curious about the finer points of yoga. After years of taking public classes and using what she learned to develop a steady home practice routine, she earned her 200 hour RYT at South Boston Yoga Center with David Vendetti and Todd Skoglund. Through her training and experience Amanda has crafted a style that incorporates strength through stretching, mindfulness through movement, and a lighthearted approach to a rejuvenating, active practice. Students can expect to feel challenged, to move and discover the uniqueness of their own practice and to find the joyful experience of body awareness through movement.

In partnership with local Watertown and Boston fitness studios, join us for daily outdoor fitness classes Monday - Thursdays at 5:30PM on the River Green.

Parking & directions

Arsenal Yards is approximately a 10-minute drive from Harvard Square and approximately a 15-minute drive from Copley Square. Other areas will find it easily accessible from the Mass Pike or Fresh Pond Parkway, among many routes available to Watertown’s East End. Once on site, ample free parking is available. Traveling via public transportation? MBTA bus route 70 stops right on site and can be picked up at the Central Square Red Line T stop.
